Youth for Understanding is a major international youth exchange non-profit organization, that provides learning opportunities for up to one year in secondary, high school and going to college a country of foreigners. YFU´s priceless history of mutual understanding of youth exchanges between the nations has more than 60 years of developing ideas in contribution to the understanding between nations. The youth is able to develop self-appearance from this collaboration, maturity in personality and in future working skills, knowledge and valuable experience . Since YFU was created, in 1951 in the United States (Michigan), it has been growing remarkably. Nowadays we are operating in a wide range of activities covering over 60 countries around the globe. YFU´s international network consists of independent institutions of national YFU, national organizations are working on each base to be independent and impartial, endorsing works as a basic management of international standards within the whole YFU international network.
